China is an ancient country, whose culinary arts have a long history, and are famous all over the world. Chinese dishes appeal to the senses through colour, shape, aroma and taste, and any Chinese meal should contain all four.

The cuisine of the various areas are different and contribute to the enjoyment of Cinese food. For instance Beijing cuisine combines the best features of different regional styles; Shangdong cooks are good at cooking seafoods; Sichuan specialize in chilies, hot peppers and Sichuan dishes are famous for aromatic and spicy sauces. Guangdong cooks look for fresh, tender, crisp textures; Huai Yang cuisine stresses the natural flavours, and their dishes are strong but not greasy, and light but delicate; Tan cuisine is both sweet and salty. Enjoy them all, even if you use European chopsticks - fork and spoon!
